Our Motto:

"Facta Non Verba"

"Deeds not words."

Temple University Phi Delta Epsilon
International Medical Fraternity

Pennsylvania Beta Chapter

Our chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon was chartered in 2014 and currently consists of nearly 100 pre-medical students from Temple University. Our members are learning ways to become better future physicians all while abiding by the principles of philanthropy, deity, and equity every day.

Our History

Our fraternity was founded in the year 1904 by Aaron Brown at Cornell University Medical College as many doors were shut for Jewish medical students and physicians. Many medical schools placed a limit on the amount of Jewish students who could join medical fraternities, which membership was often required to get into medical school. Thus, Aaron Brown formed Phi Delta Epsilon on the guiding principles of philanthropy, deity, and equity.

Today, Phi Delta Epsilon has grown to be an organization that is inclusive to all, with medical and premedical chapters in over 30 states and 5 countries.
